Big Catch Up

gosh i dont even know where to start. the internet has been broken here for the past few days. i want to tell the most exciting news first, but then we wouldnt be in chronological order....

so i still havent heard from joey after we got things 'out in the open'. i did send him an sms like a week later, saying it was lesleys birthday and did he want to come out. he just said he had been on a bender of late so wouldnt. i have tried calling him once since then, but he didnt answer. so its almost 2 weeks, and its a pity cos i would really like to tell him about the guy that i am about to start seeing....

the cute as a button boy that works next door to me at peccos bike shop. his name is matt, and i have had my eye on him from the moment i saw him. he is so dreamy-its the only word that accurately describes him.

it was my second day at work and he came in and was chatting away to the bar staff, so i assumed he worked there. i thought he was so gorgeous, so i just went up and introduced myself. turns out he works next door, so i feel a bit of an idiot. but anyways, he came in another time and we chatted 'australian' he said: 'how ya going?' and that made my day. then i didnt see him for the longest time. i kept cruising past the window of the bike shop but he was never in.

on sunday, i had a couple of beers after work, and then went to go inside to the 'washroom' and there he was. sitting at this huge table of people in one of our bars. i freaked out. so my new friend at work, nicole, said she would get me an opening. and she did. as we were leaving, she calls out, 'bye guys' so that he would look around, and then i got in there with a bit of 'hey, its matt right? hows it going, what are you up to...'etc.
wednesday, i was hung over like a dog and it was quiet and raining and i really wanted to get cut from work, but i lost the draw, and thank god i did, cos in comes matt. all apologetic about not being able to invite me out on the sunday, it was a staff do. he ordered lunch off me and then proceeded to flirt his ASS off with me. i have never had any (welcome) advances that strong before it was kinda freaky. i couldnt function properly. i mentioned to him that my housemate has some extra bikes but each of them are broken in some way, but if i get one fixed i can use it, so he offered to come round and check them out.... etc. so after work i went into his store, and we flirted more and he gave me his number, and said 'yeah, so call me -soon'.

i didnt even get the chance, cos he was in at work when i finished yesterday. (i later found out he wasnt even working and he just came in looking for me!) we sat and flirted way more, and arranged to go out for dinner on saturday night. i gave him my number, but said lets just meet here, when we both finish on saturday. but you have my number in case you need to call. he said he probably would call, but that he would leave me alone tonight (last night). i was so ecstatic.

so then i went on my little girls night out with workmates (mel and amy), we went round to mels house. cooked yummy yummy toast with brie and pear, and then pasta, and then strawberry and rhubarb pie (i didnt have any though). drank and gossipped and talked, and had a jolly old time. im so glad i am making new friends at work. nicole is the best, she just started last week and we totally hit it off. we have been out together a couple of times, with her sister too. loads of fun. they are both very high energy, like hyper hyperactive, so great to be around.

i havent seen much of janaki lately. i work, she works. in fact havent even spoken to her since sunday night, we used to talk everyday. oh well, branching out i guess.

wow, i hope he calls me today. i might call him even. i think we are both being very impatient about getting this off the ground.

in other news: i got new lenses in my glasses -thank god. i can see again, its great.

off to have brekky.
