Fruity Fruity

well, everyday our plans seem to come a little closer to fruition. matt and i both have a job working in a call centre, doing cell phone customer service. it is an american cell phone company called cingular. we have 5 weeks of training, then 2 weeks of 'transition', so we will probably only do the job for a couple of weeks before we leave.

matt just needs to apply for his visa now. he has looked into tickets, and will hopefully book them this week. he wants to go to vancouver on the way to tokyo. catch up with his sister and get some skiing in before he come to the land of little snow and little mountains (literally -our biggest ski hills are half the size of whistler).

the ticket back home from japan, will be a little pricier than expected, close to $800 (Y77,200). but kinda cool for matt and i to spend some time in tokyo. i am excited about showing him around. and of course showing off my skills in the language dept, though i have forgotten a lot now. oh, and i sent my japanese dictionary home to mum....

so unfortunately the pay is pretty crappy for this job, and i am sick so we only went for half a day yesterday -i wont let matt slack off again tonight. not to mention i have been spending a bit of money lately. i bought a new ipod cos my mini broke. i also bought some gorgeous winter boots, cos winter seems to have finally arrived -we had 10 cm yesterday and its -20 out right now. but yes, i have had to pay my rent in installments this month....

matt and i have been inseparable the past couple of weeks. i was a little worried about us working together, but then realized we were together 24-7 anyways, and at least this way, we spend some time apart mentally -you know? its not like we kiss and cuddle and snuggle at work, its more like hanging out as friends, adds an interesting dynamic. we can jump in the car at the end of the night and say 'hi honey, how was your day?', and have a big smooch.

new years was fun with matt and my good friend tom poplowski, from japan. he was home for his sisters wedding and xmas etc. though i still havent heard from him since new years day which is a little disappointing.

off to the beauty salon today, hopefully this new place is much more pleasant than the old....
